Rumors are flying that Paris Hilton will be charged with possession of a controlled substance today. 0.8 grams of cocaine, to be specific, according to TMZ. More bad news for Paris: according to TMZ, she was more than a little evasive about the purse in question that ultimately caused the drug bust. From TMZ:

At the hotel, Paris told the cop she needed lip balm so the cop handed Paris her purse: “As she began to open it, I saw a small bindle of what I believed to be cocaine in a clear baggie begin to fall from the purse and into my hand.”

… she said the cocaine was not and claimed the purse was not hers — that she had borrowed it from a friend. The cop questioned Paris about the cocaine and according to cops Paris gave an odd answer: “She said she had not seen it, but now thought it was gum.”

Later on, Paris claimed that the purse was in fact, hers, but that it had been in the possession of a friend. Not too cool, Paris. Though after this summer’s world tour of Marijuana detentions, I’m sure this will work out fine as well, Good luck Paris!

The LA Times is reporting that heiress Paris Hilton was arrested in Las Vegas Friday night after LVPD found a small amount of Cocaine in a purse inside the vehicle Paris was in. Supposedly the cops pulled over the SUV containing Hilton after noticing a cloud of Marijuana smoke coming out of the windows. Hilton has stated that the purse is not hers.

Also reported, though unconfirmed is that Cy Waits, Hilton’s nightclub-entrepreneur boyfriend was Hilton and was allegedly arrested on suspicion of drug-related DUI.

After George Micheal’s recent arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence, George Michael has allegedly checked himself into rehab in London. He was recently arrested after running his Range Rover into a store front near his home in Hampstead, London. George Michael posted this notice on his official website:

“I want to thank you all sincerely, and also to reassure those of you who worry so much for me. I fully appreciate the seriousness of my current situation, for which I truly apologise…
“I feel you should know that on the day after the incident I checked in to a clinic for a 14 day detox program here in London, which has been followed by ongoing outpatient drug counselling several times a week. Personal problems which I had tried to deal with myself had clearly got the better of me, and I am sorry that my pride has prevented me from seeking help before now.
“I would also like to express my thanks to those whose discretion allowed me to begin this process in private, which has helped me greatly.”

She goes on to post a phone conversation that is supposed to be Soulja boy, and showing her Twitter, which has messages from what is alleged to be his Twitter account. Who knows. Fantasia Barrino, who is in the news after she allegedly broke up a marriage and then was hospitalized with an overdose of aspirin or something, says it wasnt an accident, and that she actually mean to kill herself. Well, duh. Here’s her reasoning:

Today, Charlie Sheen pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor assault charge, stemming from his domestic violence case. At the Aspen Co. tril, the judge ordered Charlie Sheen into 30 days of rehab. Sheen took the sentence well, saying:
“I’m very grateful to the court and to the people of Pitkin County. I look forward to complying with the court’s decision, getting on with my life and putting this behind me.”

The actor will also serve 3 months probation and 36 hours of domestic violence counseling.

She then tells Vanity Fair that she still does Cocaine!
“I won’t lie; it’s occasional. And when I say occasional, I mean maybe a couple of times a year.”
